Anfisa became a loathed yet beloved star of the TLC franchise after her90 Day Fiancé season 4 debut, with her now ex-husband, Jorge Nava. When Anfisa moved from Russia to the U.S., she brought many chaotic moments along with her, which definitely kept fans entertained. Over time, Anfisa has become popular on Instagram, which has become her primary source of income. It’s not just plastic surgery or her red makeup bag that helped her to transform. That following September, Jorge was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for possession of drugs with the intent to sell. In December 2018, Anfisa used Instagram to announce that her newly toned figure and weight loss transformation were the results of bodybuilding. Anfisa’s new strength training hobby filled the void that she felt after Jorge was arrested and she was left on her own. She decided to stay busy doing what she enjoyed the most, which was working out.

While she intended to slim down initially, and did lose 26 pounds, she soon started bulking up by gaining muscle and sculpting her body. In March 2019, Anfisa told 90 Day Fiancé viewersthat she had gained 10 pounds in the last five months, but shared that they all went to the “right places.” In June 2019, Anfisa took part in her first bodybuilding competition. “2nd place novice and true novice, 5th place open @centerpodium Such an amazing first show experience!" Anfisa had written in an Instagram post, where she showed off her medals.

In January 2018, Anfisa enrolled in a community college with the goal of getting an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, and then possibly transferring to a four-year university to get a Bachelor's degree. The brainy beauty joined the University of California in fall of 2020, and she’s slated to graduate in three weeks. At the same time, Anfisa decided to get her National Academy of Sports Medicine [NASM] certification to become a personal trainer. TLC reality star and "fitfluencer" Anfisa wanted to be able to help her fans achieve their fitness goals, but she felt it wasn’t appropriate for her to do so without having the proper certification. She wanted to create her very own fitness programs and be “a good representation of the fitness community and do it the right way, instead of trying to make a quick buck off people,” as per Anfisa's now-deleted IG post.

Anfisa Reveals Her Weight Loss Secrets

Anfisa had been skinny her whole life, but when she moved to the U.S., she gained about 15 to 20 pounds. The food in America was different than what she used to each in Russia. Back home, Anfisa ate home-cooked food, but in America, she would often find herself eating out, and not keeping tabs on what she was consuming.90 Day Fiancé celeb Anfisareduced her portion size and started doing cardio. She was using the elliptical machine or treadmill five or six times a week, for 30-40 minutes. She started sharing photos of her favorite healthy meals, such as chicken thighs, vegetables, and rice, for her 90 Day Fiancé fans to see, along with recipes. However, when asked which diet helped her weight to drop from 146 pounds to 120 pounds, Anfisa recommended a blood test instead. She took an at-home blood test to help determine if she was intolerant to certain foods.
